Last year, there were rumors of a Zelda-themed LEGO set which mentioned a 2-in-1 set including the Great Deku Tree and characters/pieces to build a setting based on either Ocarina of Time or Breath of the Wild. But as rumours go, this one had to be taken with a grain of salt as not much came out of it for over a year. However, there were some truth to this rumour as this week, Nintendo has revealed that particular set, which can be seen in the image above.
This 2,500-piece set can either be built as the Great Deku Tree from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time or from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. It also includes other sceneries such as the Master Sword pedestal from Breath of the Wild, and Link's House from Ocarina of...
Videogame cheating is a widespread issue worldwide, more so with highly popular online franchises lilke Grand Theft Auto and Call of Duty. Some people even attempt to make a money out of creating cheat codes and selling them out in the internet to gain a profit, which might prompt action by the big companies to extend the hammer of the law, and this was such the case for Activision.
Activision started a lawsuit in 2022 within the US district of California against the videogame cheats company known as EngineOwning, who are some of the biggest names when it comes to online cheating, with them selling cheats for franchises like Call of Duty, Counter Strike and Battlefield, to name a few.
While the court ruling against EngineOwning...
Sony is once more attempting to reintroduce players to their older library of games by re-releasing classic PlayStation 2 titles onto the PlayStation Store. During the PlayStation 4's run, there were a handful of PS2 classics made available, however, those games were criticized for running poorly, with inaccurate emulation on the PS4. Now, Sony has reportedly created a new emulator for PS2, and according to industry leakers, will offer video filters, quick save, and a rewind feature.
The first three titles will be Sly Cooper and the Thievus Reccoonus, Tomb Raider: Legend, and Star Wars: The Clone Wars, and are set to launch on June 11, for PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers. You'll also be able to purchase the titles separately for...
Since Silent Hill: The Short Message released at the end of January, there hasn't been much Silent Hill news since then outside of a combat trailer for the Silent Hill 2 Remake, given the huge amount of franchise-related titles that were announced back in October, with quite a considerable number of titles with a variety of themes and settings all with the focus of Silent Hill, with even a remake of the 2nd installment and a direct adaptation of it to the big screen coming up as well.
Now, after 4 months without much news and only rumors and speculations, the official Silent Hill social media accounts have announced a new "Silent Hill Transmission" event focused entirely on the franchise, where they will share updates in regards to the...
Back in the mid 2000s, the gaming scene saw a whole slew of exclusive games released for portable cellphones, with a wide variety of them running under a build of Java for mobile phones, and in the case of Mega Man, the franchise saw quite a handful of titles exclusive to these now forgotten mobile devices.
The Mega Man franchise saw 8 releases on feature phones, with the titles specifically being Rockman Pinball, Rockman GP, Rockman Panic Fire, Rockman Bug Sweeper, Rockman Dash: Great Adventure on 5 Islands, a trial version of Rockman 1 (Mega Man 1 on NES) with the feature to add as Roll in the game, and lastly, the two titles that we'll be focusing on today, Rockman EXE: Phantom of the Network and Rockman EXE: Legend of the Network...

With the vast success of Super Mario Maker and its Switch sequel Super Mario Maker 2, Nintendo fans have long been calling for "Maker" titles for other iconic genres and series. In 2017 we saw Mega Man Maker, and since then we've seen a range of various Zelda-esque dungeon makers pop up (with another one due to release in just nine days!). While these releases do a fantastic job of capturing the spirit of their respective games, they're often released as PC games using unique assets such as to avoid scrutiny from the powers that be. What's far more unique is a Maker title not only built in the engine of its game, but one that even runs on native hardware. It's here we introduce Mario Builder 64.
Built on top of the source code for...

Activision has released a new Call of Duty game every year since 2005, and that streak will continue in 2024 with the next entry in the main series. But 2024's Call of Duty game will be the most notable in years. That's because it's the first new entry since Microsoft acquired Activision Blizzard and the Call of Duty franchise in October 2023.
What does this mean for 2024's Call of Duty game? We don't know yet, as the game hasn't even been officially announced yet. But we do know this year's game, whatever it turns out to be, will come to both Xbox and PlayStation consoles, as part of a multi-year agreement. Microsoft has also discussed the possibility of bringing Call of Duty games to Switch.
2024's Call of Duty game is believed to...
As each year passes, retro games become harder and harder to play, as the physical media begins to fall apart and becomes more difficult and expensive to obtain. The onward marching of time and evolution of technology also means that video games that were once landmark titles in their day, are now thought of as clunky, awkward, or just not viable by today's standards.
These reasons are why so many individuals have dedicated years of their lives to reverse engineering beloved video games, combining their efforts to create decompilations that allow for classic games to be experienced in new ways, on new technology, with new features and improvements that were never possible on original hardware or through emulation. These decompilation...
Sales figures, as we all know, are often used as the ultimate metric for judging the success or failure of a particular piece of gaming hardware, and no console sums this up better than the Sega Saturn.
Released in 1994 after Sega had successfully challenged the seemingly unstoppable Nintendo with its Mega Drive / Genesis console (total worldwide sales: 30.75 million), much was expected of the 32-bit Saturn. Sega knew that Nintendo wouldn't be releasing its next-gen system for a while, and, backed by the might of popular arcade properties like Virtua Fighter (Japan's biggest arcade game) and Daytona USA, the company could have the market all to itself.
However, as we all know, this was the hardware generation in which Sony decided to...
Adding a layer of the supernatural to life sims isn't uncommon, but I'm excited for Moonlight Peaks because it is about living a supernatural life in a supernatural town. The life sim was announced by its developer Little Chicken Game Company a couple of years ago, and I believe the plan (until now) was for it to be self-published. Today, XSEED Games and its sister company Marvelous Europe announced that each would be publishing the game in North America and Europe, respectively. This is great news because Marvelous has a long history of working on life/farming sims. But there is a bit of bad news: Moonlight Peaks won't launch until 2026.
Moonlight Peaks is a town where vampires, werewolves, mermaids, and other sorts of supernatural...
Nintendo has officially announced that a successor to the beloved Switch console is on the horizon. As we eagerly anticipate what innovations this new device will bring, there's one fun piece of the puzzle left undecided: its name.
The name of a console is more than just a label; it's the first impression, a brand identity, and often, a crucial element in its success or failure. Think back to the Nintendo Wii, which despite its unusual name, revolutionized gaming with its motion controls and family-friendly appeal. On the flip side, we have the Wii U, whose name caused quite a bit of confusion and didn't resonate as well with the audience.
This is where you come in! Nintendo has always been about innovation and community, and what...
