The resulting device features a 9-inch 480p display, pure digital video and audio, 100W USB-C fast charging, and upcoming WiFi 6 support for wireless Xbox Live functionality. Redherring32 designed 12 custom PCBs to enable this transformation from a full-size console to a portable form factor. This Xbox portable is not an emulator or a PC-based handheld, but rather a true Xbox console hardware mod. Redherring32 plans to make the...

It's time to see what surprise PlayStation has in store for the future, with its PS5 Technical Presentation broadcast. Will we see a PS5 Pro? Or will it be something unexpected? Find out now, because the 9-minute livestream is kicking off now. We'll be summarizing the event as it airs, to stay tuned. Cerny kicks off by going back to the PlayStation 5's launch, detailing the hardware in the system, and how it was an improvement from the PlayStation 4. Graphics, sound, haptics. Minisforum is launching a new mini PC, one that maximizes power, in as slim a form factor as possible. Designed to sort of look like the PlayStation 5, the Minisforum AtomMan G7 TI is extremely flat, while also rocking as much power as a beefy gaming laptop. Inside the machine is the mobile NVIDIA 4070 graphics card, an Intel® Core i9-14900HX Processer, and a staggering amount of vents to keep the machine cool. There's even a little RGB flair to perfect the gaming aesthetic, though the AtomMan G7 TI is also being marketed as a workstation PC, since it takes up so little space and has plenty of computing power. The "barebones" edition of the G7 TI is available for pre-order now, starting at $1,159.00, with plans to ship out on September...
In a teaser video posted earlier today, GoRetroid announced its latest handheld, the Retroid Pocket Mini. The roughly 1-minute-long video didn't reveal much about the device, in terms of specs, price, or even a release date, but gave us a quick look at a render of what it will potentially look like once it is released. From this video, we can see that the device will be significantly smaller than many of Retroid's previous efforts, but will be a little bit chunkier as a result. It will feature dual-LED joysticks, a D-Pad positioned on the upper left side of the machine, and face buttons (X,Y,B,A) on the upper right-hand side. In addition to this, the current design also displays stacked shoulder buttons, a 4:3 screen, and three...

Epilogue has released the first official images of the final production model of the upcoming SN Operator. We're big fans of the GB Operator here at GameParadise. It's a lightweight means of playing your original Game Boy, Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance games on your PC via an emulator, acting as an interface between your physical collection and the constantly evolving world of emulation. It also allows you to dump carts and back up your precious save data – so it's quite a versatile piece of kit. We're therefore pleased to report that Epilogue, the company behind the device, is now working on an SNES version. It looks like there's still some work to be done before this is ready for sale, but the good news is that Epilogue...
If you're a fan of Mobile Suit Gundam – or any mecha series in which humans pilot massive, hulking super-robots – then you're almost certainly going to want to pop the MoveMaster RSG on your Christmas list. Described as a "hybrid joystick", the RSG (Rapid Steering Gear) works with Windows and Linux and boasts a wide selection of inputs, all of which are customizable. The most interesting element is that it can also act as a steering and movement device, just like Amuro Ray's controls in his all-singing, all-dancing Mobile Suit. Given the sheer amount of customisation that is possible with such a controller, it shouldn't come as much of a surprise to learn it can be used with a vast array of games – but it certainly makes us dream...
The team behind the MARS FPGA project has just revealed new information about the promising retro gaming platform. The biggest bombshell is that the console will allow you to use your original carts thanks to interchangeable modules, very much like the Polymega – with the obvious difference being that it will do so via FPGA emulation rather than software emulation. This update has required the team to completely redesign the console's physical case. The modules will have their own controller ports, so you'll be able to use your original pads and accessories as well. The team claims that this is "not just an FPGA, but a proper memory architecture with a total focus on playing retro games. It's going to be very different from...
