Andy Davidson, the creator of Worms, is busy making a free 1.5 Director's Cut of the game for Amiga, set to launch early next year. He's already said the game will have fan-made levels, showing off one based on the popular British sci-fi comedy Red Dwarf.

Davidson has now revealed that another bonus level will feature Worms joining forces with another famous Amiga series: Turrican. Mark Nuttall and Dave Boswell have "adapted" the stage, with Factor 5's approval.

For those who don't know, Turrican is a run-and-gun shooter series that started on the C64 but also came to the SNES and Mega Drive. However, fans love the Amiga versions the most, as they mix great graphics with awesome music and fun, fast-paced gameplay.

The new version of Worms: The Director's Cut is planned to come out in January 2025.
