The Last of Us 1: Beyond the Wall Walkthrough

We're still 20 Years Later, but now Beyond the Wall. In the basement, follow Tess down the right corridor and jump over the pipes by pressing up and X at the same time.

Weapon: 9mm Pistol

Just ahead, as Tess points out, you'll spot your gear on a Workbench, including a 9mm Pistol, flashlight, and gas mask. Rejoin Tess, then press triangle to boost her up. Press triangle again for her to pull you up. In the dark area, use triangle to lift the wooden barrier and enter the café.

Optional Conversation #1

Right outside the café's front door, you can have an Optional Conversation with Tess. Press triangle to start talking. Follow Tess up the grassy slope to a backyard-like area. She'll mention needing a ladder, which you can find behind the overgrown car ahead. Pick it up with triangle and carry it to the building on the right. Use it to climb through the wall opening. You'll end up in a room with a pool table. Check the kitchen counter in the next room for Weapons Parts to upgrade your gear.

Firefly Pendant #1: Vigil's Firefly Pendant

Before going downstairs with Tess, check the bedroom across from where you entered. Look in front of the small table near the two floor mattresses. You'll find a Firefly Pendant called Vigil's Firefly Pendant. Picking this up unlocks the Fallen Firefly Trophy. Head downstairs with Tess, and she'll soon point out spores in the next room. Wait for Joel to put on his mask, then look for a hole in the right wall.

Optional Conversation #2

Crawl through the wall hole in the spore-filled area using the circle button. You can examine a dead body along the way to learn about the spores' origin, which triggers an Optional Conversation.

At the corridor's end, a wooden beam blocks the path. Use triangle to move it and squeeze through. A survivor begs for help; choose to ignore or shoot them. Don't forget to grab the ammo on the ground.

Duck under the blocked door to encounter Clickers. The first is a tutorial; use R1 for Listen mode, then perform a stealth kill. For the next two, either sneak past or eliminate them. To save ammo, crawling by is recommended.

In the kitchen, find a Granola Bar on the counter. A back room with a closed door contains ammo. After exploring, climb the stairs to Natale & Vegiard Legal Group.

Artifact #1: Boston Q.Z. Map

Access your backpack by pressing the touchpad. You'll notice some Artifacts already collected, including the Boston Q.Z. Map.

Artifact #2: Military Pamphlet

The second pre-collected Artifact is the Military Pamphlet.

Artifact #3: Note to Brother

In the Natale & Vegiard Legal Group, open the left wall door. On the desk to the left, find the Note to Brother Artifact.

Exit the building, drop into the basketball court, and follow Tess through the swampy pond area between burned-out buses.

Approach the building with Tess, who removes a wooden panel for entry. Climb up, noting the fallen plank bridge. Follow the room's path down to retrieve it.

Use triangle to pick up the plank and pass it to Tess. Climb back up through the wall hole, then cross the plank, balancing with the left analog stick.

Follow Tess outside, down stairs, and through alleyways until she unlocks a door.

Firefly Pendant #2: Glueck's Firefly Pendant

Opposite Tess's opened door, spot a Firefly Pendant in a tree's rear branches. Shoot it down to collect Glueck's Firefly Pendant.

Proceed through Tess's opened door towards The Slums, grabbing ammunition from the counter before exiting on the child's clearance.

As you navigate these areas, stay alert for supplies and potential threats. The journey through Boston's quarantine zone is fraught with danger, but each step brings you closer to your goal. Remember, stealth and resource management are key to survival in this post-apocalyptic world.

Keep an eye out for more artifacts and collectibles as you progress. These items not only provide valuable insights into the game's lore but also contribute to your completion percentage. The Last of Us 1 rewards thorough exploration, so take your time to investigate your surroundings whenever possible.

The tension builds as you encounter more infected and navigate treacherous environments. Each decision you make, whether to engage or avoid enemies, can have significant consequences. Trust your instincts and the skills you've developed so far to guide you through these challenging scenarios.
