The Xbox Partner Preview Showcase this week featured a number of exciting announcements and trailers for upcoming Xbox games:
- Alan Wake 2's next DLC expansion, "The Lake House", was revealed and is set to launch on October 22nd. The expansion looks to continue the creepy and supernatural storyline of the Alan Wake series.
- A new game called Cronos: The New Dawn from Bloober Team, the studio behind the Silent Hill 2 remake, was announced. It's a survival-horror adventure game where players take on the role of the Traveler, tasked with extracting individuals who died during an apocalyptic event.
- The next entry in the Yakuza/Like a Dragon series, titled "Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii", got a new trailer showcasing the return of fan-favorite character Goro Majima in a pirate-themed adventure.
- Several other titles were highlighted, including the co-op horror game Phasmophobia coming to consoles, the first-person shooter Blindfire, and the mysterious platformer Animal Well which launched as a surprise release.
- A number of these games, like Subnautica 2, Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, and the Control spin-off FBC: Firebreak, were also announced as coming to Xbox Game Pass on day one.
Overall, the Xbox Partner Preview Showcase provided a solid look at some of the diverse third-party games headed to Xbox platforms in the coming year. Many of the titles shown seem to offer unique and compelling experiences for Xbox players to look forward to.
