Keeping up with the financial cost of maintaining our favourite hobby does not come cheap. This is why subscription services such as PlayStation Plus and Xbox Game Pass can be a godsend with the monthly cost being cheaper than a single newly released AAA game.
What's more, free-to-play titles can be a good way to go in an attempt to cut costs with the likes of Call of Duty: Warzone, Destiny 2 and Fortnite, to name a few saving us plenty of money, if we can avoid the temptation of making regular microtransaction purchases.
That being said, the PC platform Steam is also a great way to check out some free video games, not only with a plethora of playable demos but also full titles that we can download and keep forever on PC.
