According to Deadline, Todd died at 69 on November 6th at his Los Angeles home.
The towering Todd, who was 6'5", appeared in Oliver Stone's Oscar-winning Platoon, and later featured in many popular TV shows and movies. His most famous role came in 1992, when he played the title character in the iconic supernatural horror film Candyman. He revisited the role 30 years later in its 2021 sequel.
The actor's unique voice also brought many video game characters to life, including Venom in the recent Marvel's Spider-Man 2. "He filled our studio with joy and touched countless fans worldwide with his unforgettable voice and presence," said developer Insomniac Games. "Venom lives on through him forever."
His final video game role will be as Locus in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, set to release on PS5 next year.
