The Astro Bot PS5 update released on October 24, 2024 added a new free speedrun stage called "Let It Slide". This is the second of five speedrun stages that will be released weekly over the next month:
- October 17: Building Speed (released)
- October 24: Let It Slide (released)
- October 31: Spring-loaded Run
- November 7: Helium Heights
- November 14: Rising Heat
Each speedrun stage includes a challenge to complete the level as quickly as possible, as well as two new "VIP Bots" to unlock for your collection. The "Let It Slide" stage has you traversing icy platforms using the elephant power-up.
In addition to the speedrun challenges, the update also includes the ability to get two more Special Bots for your collection. The first two speedrun stages have introduced bots like Eve from Stellar Blade and a Helldiver.
