Keep in mind that the preferred way to load files (homebrew mp4) is to host them locally. For most of the people it had better success rate than loading the files directly online . My opinion is you should try both online and offline and see what suits you the best. (this is not so sure, it's just a hypothesis)
You can follow this link that contains a useful guide about local file hosting :
https://gameparadise.org/threads/5-4-0-quick-start-thread-for-success.1405/
For now almost every app that runs on 5.3.2 can run on 5.4.0 because they run the same kernel exploit except loadiine and this is exactly what people here are trying to figure out. If you can help or test you are welcome .
You can use this link if you are on 5.4.0 and test the mp4 files there so you can give some feedback and confirm if that is working for you . This link is provided by 05sonicblue.
Also there is a pack for self hosting the files. Some people actually (including me) got loadiine V2 from sonic's link working and successfully loaded games using the lastest folder structure!!!! (5.4.0 console firmware)

Also you can use this useful link provided by wj44 that also contains loadiine and other homebrew stuff for you to use similar to 05sonicblue link.

This is the compatibility list for loadiine v3

Wupinstaller - spoffing ( says to support 5.4.0 read the instructions )

:!:
Also you can try this , it worked for some people :
If using XAMPP local hosting, copy to xampp/htdocs/ folder. Or else host the folder on your server like any other
file (assuming you have apache support).
Then visit http://yourIPAddressort/wupinstaller on your WiiU browser.
It will kick you out of browser, choose browser again and visit that URL again. It will kick you out again, this
time press Home button.
You should get an error code and the WUP files you have in your SD:/install on the Wii
should be installed now. (if it's a big install like SSBU update, leave the error screen on for a few hours or
so before forcing rebooting just to be safe, it's installing in background)
You can find the WUP Installer zip at the bottom of this post

For anyone not able to get Kernel Exploit and/or Loadiine to work, I will show my successful approach step-by-step (5.4.0E), hopefully it might help someone.
As of now, only Loadiine v1 works on 5.4.0 (?).
1. Start Internetbrowser -> Settings -> Delete Cookies.
2. Start kernel exploit "WiiU Kernel Exploit ()" fromhttp://wj44.ml/. A black menu should appear with button-alternatives A or B, for Loadiine-prepared exploit press B.
3. You should now be back at some kind of Wii U Settings menu, press Internetbrowser at the bottom.
4. Enter URL http://wj44.ml/p.php?sysver=540&p=loadiine/code532.bin, if the Loadiine execute exploit works you should now be returned to same menu as step 3, exit the menu to start screen.
5. Start MiiMaker and after a couple of seconds you should arrive at Loadiine game index list.
