Check out our latest computer game reviews. PC games are traditionally intended for the core gaming community, seeing as contemporary systems that are the host to games we now qualify as 'casual' are usually settled in the living room, connected to a TV. An increasingly small majority of franchises turn out to be available on both computers (Windows, and too rarely OSX and Linux) and consoles. It comes down to our reviewers whether they prefer reviewing a game on the PC or on their console - knowing that in most if not all cases a game will look better on the PC, assuming your PC comes with a decent video card.
With a striking style and kinetic combat, Zenless Zone Zero’s riveting world makes up for its momentum-killing moments thanks to a satisfying feedback loop and a rogues' gallery of lovable characters.
Developer The Chinese Room’s latest title, Still Wakes the Deep, sets you on a cosmic horror adventure aboard an oil rig off the coast of Scotland. Is it worth a visit?
I would suggest that this is probably the sexiest game that you’ll play that isn’t outright pornographic, but the different authorial perspective in how it’s written is appealing, and interesting.
It's an OK experience that won't change the world. Seasoned MudRunners or SnowRunners may get a kick out of this for a few hours, but overall I found it to be pretty mundane beyond the realistic driving elements.
Republic of Pirates is an enjoyable, if generally uninspired city builder and light-touch RTS. It’s pretty to look at, has a comfortable, laid-back vibe, and aside from wrestling with the controls, is an easy-playing experience that you can tune out to.
Destiny 2’s potential was clear from the first time I blasted my way through The Red War seven years ago, but Bungie never actually realized much of that potential until The Final Shape.
Devil Blade Reboot is a legitimate shmup masterpiece and one of the best examples of the genre we've experienced in quite some time – and it runs flawlessly on the Steam Deck. Make sure you pick it up.
V Rising is a diverse, captivating and all-encompassing well-made vampire simulation. Every aspect of the game oozes with quality and style, so much so that I think it's even made the age-old trope of the blood-sucker even trendier.
XDefiant joins the free-to-play shooter crowd as a respectable competitive FPS built around various Ubisoft franchises, but little makes it really stand out.
Duck Detective: The Secret Salami is a delightful, wonderful little game. My life is better for the joy that it has injected into it and there’s not a thing about it that I think the developers could have done better.
The wait is over as the remake of the cult-classic sci-fi title System Shock nears its release. Does it offer a compelling reason to (re)visit Citadel Station and thwart SHODAN’s plans?
The authentic Taiwanese ghost stories, an intriguing university campus to explore, and a fun – if B-grade cheesy – cast make The Bridge Curse 2 well worth your time.
The score I’m giving The Hungry Lamb: Traveling in the Late Ming Dynasty should highlight just how disappointed I am by the localization, because this could have very easily been one of the most powerful stories in video game history.
Supermassive Games is back with a new game packing the developer’s iconic mechanic that focuses on quick-time events and branching plot based on narrative choices. How well executed are these in the new cinematic title The Quarry?
