I'm working on a new patch that isn't quite so….messy. This new one should just enable the Extra Options in the Options menu, as well as (hopefully) fixing widescreen HUD stretching and black bars on certain TVs if you're playing on real hardware. Also added an .xDelta patch since .IPS is fickle with bigger game sizes.
This patch removes the noise effect/film grain present throughout the game. Reddit user u/enscripture made the original patch years ago but it doesn't seem to actually do anything, so I went in and basically made it so that the gameshark/codebreaker (don't remember which) code for disabling the Noise Filter is enabled every time the game starts up. Again, this was several years ago, I'm just finally uploading it because I haven't seen anyone else do it.
Note: This will not remove anything present in any pre-rendered cutscenes, nor does it remove the effect present on the load screen (even though it seems like it should, don't ask me why it doesn't).
